olf has long and storied past. No sport remains the
same, but some change more slowly than others.
Golf is perhaps the most establishment of all
sports –barring polo- and this means it can be harder to
change than other sports. But exceptional people shape
the world around them, and over the past hundred years or
so, some have shunted the sport along a different track.
Touchline looks at some of the golfing greats who
changed the sport through their determination,
iconoclasm or simply through their unbounded skill.
